"A Masterpiece" – Classic Rock Society.                                                   Read more Quotes JEBO James was lead vocalist and frontman for rock band JEBO from their first gig in 2003 (supporting Wilko Johnson) until he parted ways with the band in early 2009. JEBO's debut album, Sinking Without You, featured Rob Allen's majestic song-writing, Jeff France's dynamic drumming, keyboard maestros Phil Dudd and Nick O'Neill on organ and pianos, Lawrie Jones on bass, with James on vocals and was produced by legendary producer John (Johnnie) Burns, reknowned for his work with Genesis, Jethro Tull, Burning Spear and others. The album was mixed by Johnnie and Ben Findlay (Live Eight, Real World Studios) and was released in 2006 to great critical praise: "Phenomenal" - Planeta Rock "Buy this album it is awesome!!! James Hollingsworth has put a passion into the vocals that I have not heard in a commercial album in a long time. His vocal style is reminiscent of Michael Stipe at times, but this music has a passion that puts REM to shame." - Bristol Rocks. A second pressing with a redesigned album cover was released in late 2008 with a terrific launch gig, courtesy of Öette Music, at Greyhound Pier 1 in Neuss  ~ where the band debuted their uptempo version of James' song Far Away From Home. A special mention for Herr Peter ('Big Pete') Iserloh, who was instrumental in the band's success in Germany, and who is sadly no longer with us ~ rest in peace, Peter! JEBO soon recorded Far Away From Home at Toybox Studios back in Bristol, and finally was released on James' 2021 Thirteen Moons with executive production advice from John Burns. Keyboard meastro Nick O'Neill also contributed multi-part harmony vocal recordings for the 2021 release. One more song of James' remains from that session ~ due for release on one of his future albums. JEBO's many successful gigs with James also included The Royal Albert Hall, memorable appearances for the Classic Rock Society, supporting Mostly Autumn and It Bites and Night of the Progs at Loreley in July 2007, supporting the original line-up of ASIA, Jethro Tull and Fish.
